Mini electric vehicle sales
BMW Group’s MINI announced that it sold 105,535 pure electric vehicles in the global market last year. MINI’s total sales last year were 288,290 units, of which 37% were electric vehicles. Compared to 2024, electric vehicle sales increased by 88%. MINI attributes this to a rapid and successful transition to electric vehicles.
In South Korea as well, one out of every four vehicles MINI sold last year was an electric vehicle. This accounted for approximately 24% of total sales, with 1,889 pure electric vehicles sold. This was the result of MINI simultaneously introducing electric vehicles across all its models, including the Mini Cooper, Ace Man, and Countryman, in March of last year. The new ‘Electric Mini Cooper’, a flagship product, has been praised for maintaining MINI’s classic design elements, such as the round headlights on a 3-door hatchback, while implementing the brand’s so-called ‘Go-kart, 고카트’ sensibility through the acceleration characteristics unique to electric vehicles.
